- MARCH: Xi-an, Shaan-xi, China 😍😍😍😍
- MAY: Hongkong 😍😍😍😍
- JUNE : The Caucasus, Europe 😍😍😍😍😍
- OCTOBER: New Taipei, Taiwan 😍😍😍😍😍
- DECEMBER: Egypt & The Red Sea 😍😍😍😍😍
Although a lot of planning and coordination still yet and need to be done, the flights for Xi-An, Shaan-xi, China is confirmed. So is Hongkong and The Caucasus Georgia-Tbilisi has also already been confirmed 🙂
Looking forward to visit the world famous UNESCO sight, the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang in Xi-An, in China after so much talk about his Terra Cotta Warriors and his tomb last year. Finally this year we can finally see the real thing! Also various other great rulers of China like WuZheTian etc. This will happen during the March holiday.
Georgia (not the one in USA but the one in Europe) will happen in June, we will be staying in Europe for about a month this year and will be charting through quite a number of places Katsaisi, Mestia, Ushguli, Batumi, Kutaisi, Tbilisi, Baku, Echmiadein, Zvartnots, Artsakh, Khovirap, Noravank, Tatev, Stepanakert, Yerevan, Garnish, Geghard, Lake Sevan, Sanahin, Haghpat, Mtskheta, Azerbaijian..
Stopping by Istanbul for 7 hours before and after Georgia. Will be taking a comprehensive 6 hour tour in Istanbul for the first 7 hours. The returning 7 hours not yet decided cos its going to be near midnight by then.
Via Turkish Airlines will be a 21 hour long flight. Really miss the Turkish experience! The last time we took Turkish was while going to Croatia. Warmed-up Turkish delights were actually served inflight onboard before the plane took off. Those sweet delights were really nice– fresh, hot and chewy– it felt really special and really miss that in-flight experience! Hope to re-live it again this time round..
As for HongKong, same old same old and maybe also island hopping this time round.
October’s NewTaipei was a nice trip too and really memorable. The weather was quite pleasant although some days were pretty warm but its pretty dry so our clothes dry pretty fast which is very good for washing.
December’s Egypt trip is quite a last minute thing. Otherwise its Komodo Island before they start charging more for tourists. However the draw from Egypt was much greater than Komodo and Komodo is only a puny little island with not much history whereas Egypt is rich in history and everything else, so of course subsequently its really a no-brainer!
This year 2019 is such a year filled with travels. I have never travelled so much in my life until now. So this year is quite a fruitful year to close off this decade long of hardship. 2020 onwards is going to be a GREAT YEAR ahead!!! Cheerios!!!
Counting down to Christmas in Egypt.
Wishing all a wonderful holiday and dazzling year ahead!
Signing off for 2019,
